Monaghan march on in All Ireland football qualifers with win over Wexford

Monaghan bounced back from their defeat to Down with a comfortable 3-23 to 1-11 victory over Seamus McEneaneys Wexford at a sunny Innovate Park this afternoon. Fintan Kelly and Karl OConnell goaled for Monaghan as they led at half time by 2-10 to 0-05. Owen Duffy got Monaghans goal in the second half as they finished match with 15 different scorers they now march into the qualifers on Monday morning.
Wexford finished the game with 12 players with Ciaran Lyng dismissed on a second yellow card in the 62nd minute, while Adrian Flynn was flashed a black card four minutes later with Wexford having used their full complement of substitutes substitutes. John Leacy was subsequently shown a straight red in the last minute. Monaghan’s Conor McManus was black carded for Monaghan in the 28th minute of the half.
