Longford swimmer Darragh Greene capped off a masterful 2018 with a new personal best at World short course championships in December.
Greene became the first Irish swimmer ever to dip under the minute threshold for the 100m breaststroke when he clock 59.92 seconds at the European Championships in August.
The Longford man over 3 seconds off 200m Breaststroke personal best winning his heat in 2:07.60 at the FINA World Short Couse Swimming Championships in Hangzhou, China. That time bettering Andrew Bree’s 2007 Irish Record of 2:07.95.
