It’s been an historic year for St Columba’s Mullinalaghta.
The North Longford club won their third county title in a row. Mickey Grahams side then became the first Longford club to reach the Leinster Senior final.
Mullinalaghta beat Eire OG of Carlow 2-15 to three points in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.
Mullinalaghta led by six points to one at half-time. Goals from James McGivney and Aidan McElligot in the 44th and 49th minute put the game beyond doubt, seeing them to an 18 point win.
Kilmacud Crokes got the better of Portlaoise in their semi-final.
St Columba’s Mullinalaghta return to action on the 9th of December in the Leinster Senior football final against Kilmacud Crokes.
O’Connor Park Tullamore has been announced as the venue with a throw-in time of half past one.
Former Longford manager Denis Connerton joined Kevin McDermott to look back on Mullinalaghta’s semi-final victory and to preview their Leinster final showdown with the Dublin champions.
