Longford secured their first silverware of the season with a 31-10 victory over Edenderry in the Midlands Rugby PST Sport Chris Glennon Cup Final at Spollenstown, Tullamore.
Second row Benny McManus powering over for an early converted try, but Edenderry were level on 11 minute as Evan Kelly touched down in the corner.
Edenderry went 10-7 ahead and were denied a second try following last ditch defending from Paul Gallogly on 30 minutes.
The Longford pack was rewarded from a superb scrum as Edenderry buckled under pressure as the referee awarded a penalty try to see Longford lead 14-10.
Ian McCormack crashed over for a try in the corner, Ryan McHugh added the two points before the Longford scrum pushed over the Offaly line and touched down by Gallogly to see Longford lead 26-10 at the break.
Longford controlled the game in the second half with winger Shane Farrell grabbing an injury time try, to seal a 31-10 victory.
