A David Buckley goal gave Longford an early advantage, but Warwickshire netted from a 29th minute penalty through Dean Bruen and went on to lead by 1-8 to 1-4 at the break.
Bruen was excellent in defence a rock that Warwickshire could build from throughout the second half with Longford registering eight second half points.
