Fenn Backs Kenny for Ireland Job

It’s been a highly successful season for Dundalk with winning the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division and the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup this Season.

Former Longford Town manager Stephen Kenny has been manager of the Louth club since 2013. The Dubliner has led them to four league titles and two FAI Cups aswell qualification for the group stages of the Europa League.

Current Longford Town manager Neale Fenn says Stephen Kenny would be an ideal candidate to be the next Republic of Ireland Senior team manager.

Elsewhere, Roscommon man John Caufield has been Cork City manager for the last five seasons. The Munster side finished second to Dundalk in the SSE Airtricity League premier division and were beaten by the Louth side in the Irish Daily FAI Cup Final.

Neale Fenn says the criticism John Caufield has received for not delivering trophies this season is unfair.
