Sean McCormack was lost for words as Killoe bridged a four year gap to secure the Peter Hanley Motors Longford senior football title.
“It’s very hard to put into words, I’m very emotional at the minute” declared McCormack moments after his sides 0-12 to 0-11 win over Longford Slashers.
“You like to think that on some of these occasions you’re able to see it out better than we did, but that’s Killoe we don’t do things as easy as we do” declared McCormack.
McCormack contrbitued a point to his sides tally with three points from Daniel Mimnagh and Ronan McGoldrick second point, a fisted injury time effort enough to give Killoe the crown.
“I can only try and empathise with Slashers” explained McCormack “that game could have gone either way, I’m just absolutely thrilled, it meant so much to this group of players to get back to this level.”
