Devlin Wants Cabinteely To Stop Longford Town

Pat Devlin Cabinteely are looking to stop Longford Town in their tracks in this Saturday’s top of the table clash at City Calling stadium.

Longford top the SSE Airtricity League first division with 24 points, one point clear of Cabinteely with a game in hand.

“We took a point off Longford early in the season and I wish someone else would take points off them because they are flying” smiled Devlin.

“It’s our job to stop to go down there and take three points at the very least” added Devlin, his side surprisingly second in the table.

“Unexpected for people down in Longford and around the country, but it’s no unexpected from the people of Cabinteely” blasted Devlin.

“I’m not surprised, their one of the better sides we’ve played this year” explained Devlin of Neale Fenn’s charges.

“We played them in the first game in Stradbroke and I must say they were extremely good in the first half, we got to grips within the second half and could have won the game.”

“They could have felt they could have won the game aswell, but they’re a very good side with a very talented group.”

“No one has been able to pin them back and hopefully it’s us who can do that on Saturday night.”
