Devlin Looks To Dent Longford Title Charge

Cabinteely go in search of a third home win in-a-row when they entertain second placed Longford Town in the SSE Airtricity League First Division.

While Town look to close the five point gap on leaders Shelboure, fourth place Cabinteely are in pursuit of the play-off’s and are unbeaten in their last six league games.

“The lads played with a lot hunger and desire; and the way they went about their business was really pleasing” explained Cabinteely director of football Pat Devlin.

“We have some tough games coming up” added Devlin, “Longford this week, Drogheda next week. All the lads are itching to play. With competition for places, we have some very good players waiting to get into the side.”

“We have seven (league) games to go” added Devlin. We must focus on each one as it comes along. All the teams we must play are very organised and professional in their own right.”

“But we have to focus on ourselves and try to reach the play-off’s at least.”
