Longford Town and Cabinteely face the second leg of their promotion play-off game all square as ten-man Cabo held out for a credible draw writes Andrew Dempsey.
Kevin Knight was dismissed late on for a poor lunge of Michael McDonnell as a depleted Longford impressed in front of a large away following.
A point of contention lay within the opening ten minutes, as Dylan Grimes’ corner kick looked to have rippled the back of the net, but referee Alan Carey was unmoved by the calls for a goal.
Cabinteely then saw a goal chalked off for offside as the game soon petered out to a scoreless draw, ahead of next week’s second leg at City Calling Stadium.
