Leitrim Ladies Face Louth

Leitrim host Louth in Cloone on Sunday as two teams meet with a win each so far.

Leitrim are back on the field of play in 2018 and have done made an encouraging start to their campaign.

Both counties will aim to keep pace with the early front-runners Carlow and Fermanagh, Leitrim were beaten 5-10 to 4-06 to Antrim last weekend.

“Hopefully we can get back to winning ways” explained Leitrim boss Gavin Cawley. “We should have a stronger panel available for Sunday.”

“We were disappointed with our first half performance, we left ourselves with far too much work to do in the second half.”

“We have a lot of work to do as we came together late” explained Cawley. “I think we’re coming together bit by bit, it’s difficult with the games coming thick and fast.

“We know Louth will be a tough test, they got to the All-Ireland junior final last year, we’ll be hoping to get our tactics right, if we do that and take our chances we  should be good for victory.”
