Leitrim Impress in Big Win Over Wexford

Leitrim got their 2019 Allianz National Football League Division four campaign off to a flying start with a 3-15 to 11 points win over Wexford.

Terry Hyland’s side trailed seven points to six at half-time in Avantcard Pairc Sean MacDhiarmada.

Ryan O’Rourke with five of those points for Leitrim.

The Home side though controlled the second half outscoring Wexford 3-09 to four points.

Fenagh St Cailins clubman Ryan O’Rourke scored two goals in second half- one from the penalty spot in the 42nd minute and netting again a minute later.

The In-form forward O’Rourke finished the game with a tally of 2-07.

The other goal came courtesy of substitute Darragh Rooney in the 48th minute.

Elsewhere in the division Limerick beat London 11 points to 10.

Limerick edged out London by a solitary point, 0-11 to 0-10.

And a late Padraig Cassidy point handed Derry a 1-10 to 1-9 victory over Antrim

Wicklow were 1-07 to nine point winners over Waterford on Saturday.
