Damien Moran has been rewarded by the Leitrim management team for his performance last weekend against Wicklow in the opening round of the Allianz Football league. The Bornacoola club man has been handed a starting role for Sunday’s game with Wexford in Carrick-on-Shannon.
Moran’s inclusion in the starting fifteen comes at the expense of Keith Beirne who also impressed in the convincing win against Wicklow in Aughrim.
Moran managed to elevate himself up the pecking order on the back on his exploits against the Leinster side and the fact the fact he scored three pionts from play may have also helped with his inclusion for encounter with the Model County.
Moran for Beirne is the only change personnel. There are also some positional switches with Dean McGovern moving to midfield and Aughhawillan’s Mark Plunkett switches to the half-forward line.
Team captain Donal Wrynn will start at number six with Wayne McKeon missing out due to injury.
Otherwise the team remains unchanged for the visit of a Wexford side that defeated Limerick in their opening match last weekend.
