Carrick landed the Leitrim senior hurling championship for 2017 after defeating last years winners Manorhamilton by 3-11 to 1-08 in Pairc Sean MacDhiarmada.
Carrick led by one goal, 1-5 to 0-5 at halftime before outscoring their opponents in the second half by 2-6 to 1-3.
Carrick manager Ultan Conway spoke to Seamus Gallagher after the game and he spoke about their respect for Manorhamilton and said that despite hitting eight first half wides, they knew that if they stuck to their game plan the scores would come.
When asked about the Connacht championship he said they’ll be taking it one game at a time and they’ll be thinking about that game on Monday.
