Podcast: Ireland’s 2019 Six Nations Assessed

Ireland finished in third place in the 2019 six nations.

The world cup will take place later in the year.

Ireland had an extremely successful year last year but couldn’t maintain that form.

Wales won the Grand Slam last weekend with a 25-7 victory over Joe Schmidt’s side in Cardiff.

Wales  scored a try after only 70 seconds through Hadleigh Parkes.

Gareth Anscombe converted and he was pinpoint all day with the boot, kicking 6 penalties as Wales dominated and Ireland were punished for errors.

Jordan Larmour scored a consolation try which was converted by Jack Carty.

It’s a third Grand Slam win with Wales for the former Ireland coach Warren Gatland.

To reflect on that game and Ireland’s six nations aswell as looking ahead to Ireland’s World Cup prospects.
