Martin O’Neill has been sacked by Nottingham Forest just five months after taking over as manager of the club.
The former Republic of Ireland steered them to a ninth-place finish in the SkyBet Championship.
A statement issued by Nottingham Forest read; “Nottingham Forest can confirm that manager Martin O’Neill has left the club.
The club would like to thank Martin for all his efforts during his time at The City Ground and wish him well for the future.”

Roy Keane left his role as O’Neill’s assistant at Forest last weekend and the club are now looking for their sixth manager in three-years.
