John Fogarty has been confirmed as the new Ireland Scrum Coach, a roll he will take up after the World Cup in autumn.
Fogarty, who has been with Leinster since 2015, is set to replace Greg Feek, who is moving to Japanese side Ricoh.
He will also take up the role of IRFU National Academy Forwards Coach from the 1st of July.
The former hooker, who’s originally from Cork, played for Munster, Connacht and Leinster and he earned his first test cap against New Zeland in 2010.
He retired later that year after suffering multiple concussions.
Wales forwards-coach Robin McBryde will join Leinster as assistant-coach after the World Cup.
He’ll replace John Fogarty in the Leinster setup after the province confirmed that Fogarty will succeed Greg Feek as Ireland’s scum-coach this autumn.
McBryde, who has worked with Wales for the last 13 seasons, says he’s ‘delighted’ to be joining ‘one of the standout teams in Europe’.
