Longford school enjoys major success at Junk Kouture final

Students from a north Longford school can look forward to representing Ireland at the Junk Kouture world finals in the Middle East later this year.

'Back to the Future' by Joshua Osabuehien and Solomon Eduard of Cnoc Mhuire in Granard will be one of nine creations to represent Ireland at the first ever Junk Kouture World Final in Abu Dhabi later this year.

The nine successful outfits were chosen by the Junk Kouture judges Louis Walsh, Roz Purcell, Soulé and Stephen McLaughlin.

The outfit is described as a futuristic coat of armour against climate change made from an old laundry basket, car wipers, and an old shower mat.

The school will represent Ireland at the world finals in Dubai later this year.

Tommy Stenson has been speaking to them and their teacher Charmaine Hetherington.
