Carrick-on-Shannon woman Shauna Murtagh was recently crowned as the new Rose of Leitrim. Shauna studied commerce at University Galway before returning to Carrick to work at Cryan's Hotel. It was while working in Cryan's that the idea of taking part in this year's Rose of Tralee Festival took shape. Her employers agreed to sponsor her after she was approached by organisers from the Leitrim Rose Centre. Speaking to Dan Dooner, Shauna says she's looking forward to her Rose journey:
