Locals in a Longford Village are holding out hope that a local heritage centre could reopen.
Ardagh Heritage Centre in Longford was to cease operations from the old schoolhouse in the village by the end of this year.
The owner of the building had indicated to the leaseholder that they will not be renewing the lease.
The centre houses artefacts donated to it by local people and is also home to heritage exhibition the local community has created.
The has been developments in the situation in the last week.
Speaking to me earlier, chair of Ardgah tidy towns, Brendan Farrell says the centre means so much to locals.
