PODCAST: Lough Key Forest Park basks in glory after winning national award

Lough Key Forest park took gold in Best Public park category at the annual All Ireland Community and Council Awards at the weekend.

The development of amenities including playgrounds, a zip line, the Boda Berg challenge, as well as new marinas and woodland and tree top walks has seen visitor numbers increase from 5,000 in 2007 to 150,000 now.

Lousie Fitzpatrick is Manager of Lough Key, she spoke of their delight at the win on Let’s Talk.
