In light of the recent COVID 19 restrictions for vulnerable people in our community Roscommon County Council and An Garda Siochana have set up a 24 hour Freephone Community Support Response Helpline to assist in the delivery of targeted social care supports and assistance to vulnerable groups and individuals across our county. The on the ground work from calls received on the help line is supported by Roscommon Leader Company, volunteers and an array of organisations who have offered support. The Community Support response helpline has dealt with over 3000 requests since it was set up on the 31st March covering a range of requests including grocery requests, friendly calls, meals deliveries, garda queries, heath queries, chemo appointments.
