LISTEN: Athlone students prepare for touchdown with International Space Station

In early December students from Athlone Community College will hold a live link with the International Space Station and ask the astronauts questions about their life and work in space.  The school is the only one in Ireland selected to take part and will use amateur radio to make the link to the sky.

TY students Clodagh O’ Brien, Alexandro Belasi and Mika Campbell along with their teacher Laura Donnellon told MaryClaire Grealy more about it. Laura began by explaining how it call came about.
