A Roscommon senator is calling for improvement works to take place at an accident blackspot on the N5.
Eugene Murphy believes the area near Strokestown known, locally as the turn of Farn is a major concern for motorists, pedestrians and cyclists.
He is expressing his frustration that despite a considerable amount of money being spent on road safety measures in the area, minor and more serious collisions and incidents continue to occur.

The Fianna Fail Seanad member believes that a report into the area of the road by the TII has been completed and he understands the camber may be an issue and is calling for it to be resolved as a matter of urgency.
