Roscommon records highest average Covid vaccination rate among children and adults

The lowest figure for an LEA among adults getting one or two dose vaccines was in Ballymahon.

County Roscommon is recording the highest average of adults who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 for children and adults in the Shannonside region.

New figures from the CSO reveal over 90% of those over 12 have received a single or double dose vaccine in the last 18 months.

The vaccination rate across the three electoral areas for those aged 12 and over in County Leitrim is 90%.

New figures from the CSO reveal the average vaccination rate for children between 5 and 11 for the Covid jab is 12% - with the rate at 13% in Carrick-on-Shannon and nine per cent in the Ballinamore LEA.

The average vaccination rate in those aged 12 and over across the three local electoral areas in County Longford is 84%

93% of all people over 12 in Granard are fully vaccinated - but the figure in Ballymahon for the same age cohort is 76%.

The average rate for children across the three LEAs in County Longford is 11%.

In Roscommon, all three local electoral areas report above a 90% fully vaccinated rate among those aged 12 and over.

For children in the Boyle, Roscommon town and Athlone LEAs, the figure on average is 17.6%.
