Portiuncula Hospital has the third highest number of people on trolleys in the country today.
According to figures released by INMO, twenty nine people are waiting at the hospital, with thirty six waiting in Cork University Hospital and fifty four at University Hospital Limerick.
Trolley Watch figures show a total of seventy two people are on trolleys across the Shannonside region, with over four hundred nationwide.
High traffic at Portiuncula Hospital is reportedly the result of increased numbers of patients with flu-like illness, and management are encouraging the public to attend A&E only in the case of real emergencies.
Thirteen people are waiting in Mullingar with ten at University Hospital Galway, while twenty people have yet to get a bed at Midlands Hospital Tullamore.
Sligo is the only hospital in the Shannonside region and one of only five in the country with no trolley waiting list today.
