Permission is being sought for a new tourist accommodation development in Longford.
Raymond & Ann Brogan are seeking to construct 10 prefab glamping pods at Glebe in Clondra.
Glamping pods are wooden structures designed to replace a traditional tents and are used in luxury camping.

The plans also include the conversion of an existing shed to communal toilet facility, universal access toilet & shower room with a Kitchen, diner and laundry room.
The first floor level is sought to be used as games room while the application also includes the provision of a service road and footpath, with a pedestrian entrance onto the canal walk.
Longford County Planners will decide on the issue in the new year.
