A man in his 30s is due in court today charged with assaulting a woman in Longford town earlier this week
The man was arrested by Gardai following an incident at a house in the town. He was questioned at Longford garda station yesterday and was charged late last night.
It's understood he is also facing other charges related to a vehicle as well as alleged criminal damage and is due to appear at Athlone District Court later today.
