A Longford band is looking to represent the Roma community on the big stage.
"Galaxy Band" with members Mirostar Nistor, Patrik Nistor, Dominik Sarrisky, and Josef Balog launched their new EP "Infinity" on culture night last Friday.
The album includes a mix of traditional Roma songs and a well known Stevie Wonder tune.
Patrik says they've tried to make the album as inclusive as possible for those not familiar with the Roma style of music.
"Some people would be shy doing this style of music. We're shy too but some people like our songs and some people don't but it's better getting it out. We did an English language song too so Irish people can enjoy our songs. We want to thank Music Generation for the use of their studio. It's a great studio and it was free! We also want to thank County Longford Youth Service for everything they do for us".
