A Longford supplier of school lunches says the expansion of the hot school meals scheme will be 'hugely transformative' for children.
Every child in a Deis primary school will get a hot meal from this September.
The scheme will be rolled out to all remaining primary schools on a phased basis starting next year.

Ray Nangle, CEO of Fresh Today, says expanding the programme has many benefits.
'It increase focus, digestion, mood and overall health and the education of those kids as it is very hard for kids to concentrate in the middles of the day when they are not fed properly or their nutritional standards isn't right.'
