Leitrim man Fergal McGovern says it's his intention to re-open the Esquires coffee house at the N4 Axis Business Park as soon as possible.
His comments come following a fire at the premises yesterday afternoon which caused extensive damage to the building.
The fire began in the kitchen at the business yesterday but staff managed to evacuate customers quickly and no-one was injured.
Fergal Mc Govern says he's hugely thankful to the staff for their actions and they deserve that he makes every effort to re-open as soon as possible.
''I find it absolutely shocking that those people do not have a job to go to today. There is extensive damage done inside. We're all aware of the cost of living crisis that everybody is experiencing at the moment. So we are going to assess in the next day or two. It is certainly our intention to be able to reopen the Longford unit and to bring it back bigger and better than ever.''
