A full capacity warning has been issued for the third time in a matter of weeks about Mullingar hospital.
A statement from the Ireland East Hospital Group which manages Mullingar says the Emergency Department and hospital are extremely busy again today with a number of patients waiting for admission.
People are being asked not to attend the Emergency Department unless absolutely necessary.
They are also being warned that if they do attend and don’t need urgent treatment, they may be waiting some time.
Trolley figures provided by the INMO nursing union today showed 20 people on trolleys at Mullingar.
