A Mullingar based auctioneer says there is a greater need than ever now for information on a houses energy rating to be published on the property price register.
David O’ Donell who was elected of Professional Auctioneers and Valuers in recent days says the issue has been brought into greater focus this week with the announcement of the Climate Action Plan.
The property price register was introduced here in 2010 to bring greater transparency to the sale and prices of houses in the country.
It gives the price, address and date of sale on all residential properties which have been purchased in Ireland since January 2010 and allows people to view the prices of houses which have been sold in any county.
