INMO calls for special measures to tackle overcrowding in Mullingar and Tullamore hospitals

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation is calling for special measures to be taken to help the overcrowding crisis at Mullingar and Tullamore hospitals.

There were 38 people waiting to be admitted to beds at Mullingar hospital earlier today, and there were 42 waiting in Tullamore.

The INMO says it has sought an emergency meeting of the Emergency Department Taskforce and is also looking for immediate action to alleviate conditions at hospitals like Mullingar and Tullamore.
