Finance Minister addresses confidence and supply agreement during Athlone visit

Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe says the talks on the confidence and supply agreement for the government need to begin quickly.

Speaking in Athlone today when he attended one of two regional briefings on the contents of last weeks budget, Minister Donohoe says government stability is vital for the Brexit negotiations.

There has been speculation that the talks between the two main parties may take up until Christmas to reach a conclusion, but the Finance Minister says he hopes the process can take place over a shorter time.
