Tulsk to become ‘digital hub’ under WDC plan

Tulsk in Roscommon is the latest village in the Shannonside region to become part of the digital age.

At the launch of the Western Development Commission’s (WDC) new five year Strategic Plan ‘Work Smarter, Live Better’ this morning, Minister Sean Canney has announced 1 million euro towards the a network of enterprise hubs and digital working spaces.

Other hubs will developed in Stranorlar, Donegal; Tubbercurry in Sligo and Swinford, Mayo.


The scheme will come under the regional economic development project, DigiWest, and was awarded over 644,000 euro under the latest round of the Rural Regeneration Programme.

The funding announced today is being made available through the Dormant Accounts Fund.
