Listeners to Shannonside Northern Sound have raised almost 145,000 euro for local hospice services.
The 'Let's Do it for Hospice' appeal is coming to an end this weekend, with the initial target of 50,000 euro surpassed almost three times over.
There's just three days to make a donation through our websites shannonside.ie/donate or northernsound.ie/donate, through www.idonate.ie/letsdoitforhospice or by contacting the stations directly.
All funds raised are being evenly dispersed to the Northwest Hospice, St Christopher's Hospice Homecare in Cavan and Monaghan, county Longford Homecare and the Roscommon Mayo hospice.
Castleplunkett resident Tony Brophy spoke to the Joe Finnegan Show last week about the support he received from the Roscommon Mayo Hospice for his wife Fidelma last year.
After sharing his story, people contacted him directly and he presented the station with 1,600 euro today,
He is thanking people for their support.
