Shannonside blood supplies low after lack of donations during Easter break

Members of the public who give blood are being asked to make a special effort to attend clinics in Roscommon this week.

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is holding clinics this evening, tomorrow Thursday and Friday at the Abbey hotel in Roscommon from five until half-past eight in the evening.

Its Operation Director Paul Mc Kinney says the recent Easter holidays have left supply very tight, because people don’t tend to attend clinics as much during these kinds of breaks.

He says supplies are tight and they can do with all the help they can get from people in Roscommon this week:
