Scramogue man wins Roscommon entrepreneur competition

The winners of the Roscommon County Final of the Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur competition have been announced this evening in the Abbey Hotel.

Scott Hunter, from Scramogue, Strokestown, was crowned the overall winner and the 32-year-old also won the ‘best established business’ category for his company – NCLS Crane & Lifting Services – for which he picked up €15,000.

The ‘best business idea’ category was won by 21-year-old Fourmilehouse man Peter Gilmartin for his business, Spicy Dog Media, for which there was a prize-fund of €7,000.

The winner of the ‘best start-up’ category was 33-year-old Tarmonbarry man Nick Barker, of NBSTUDIO, who also secured €15,000.
