Roscommon’s new Cathaoirleach is hoping to work on regeneration of rural towns and maintaining generational links in rural communities.

Paschal Fitzmaurice was elected to the position today, with Fine Gael’s Liam Callaghan elected as the Leas Cathlaoirleach.

He told Let’s Talk today that he will prioritise planning permission for families with connections in rural areas.
