A Roscommon TD believes the HSE needs to offer clarity on its plans for a mental health day centre in Ballaghaderreen.
Local politicians were invited to a meeting last Friday with local health chief Tony Canavan to discuss the future of the Rosalie unit in Castlerea.
However, it’s understood that at the end of the meeting, the future of St Joseph’s Day Centre in the west Roscommon town was flagged.
It’s believed that those present at the meeting were told that the review of the centre has indicated that it is not suitable for the care needs of its users and it could shut within matter of weeks.
