Roscommon roads design office urged to expedite options for Ballymurray-Knockcroghery bypass

The roads design office in Roscommon is being urged to put forward options for the Ballymurray-Knockcroghery bypass as soon as possible.

At present, a large area of land stretching from Ballymurray to Lecarrow is excluded from any development pending the outcome of the assessment on the preferred route for the new route.

Councillor Laurence Fallon says the freeze on development is causing significant difficulty for farmers, homeowners and businesses who may wish to apply for planning permission to develop a house, farm building or a business in the area.
