Roscommon man takes top role in League of Credit Unions

A Roscommon man has been appointed as the vice-president of the Irish League of Credit Unions.

Gerry Thompson, the vice-chairman of Roscommon Credit Union, received the office for two years at the league’s annual general meeting in the Dublin last weekend.

There are 434 credit unions affiliated with the ILCU, with 339 in the Republic and 95 in the North.

Gerry Thompson, from Ballyleague, is delighted with his appointment.
