Roscommon lotto winner has collected winnings

It’s been confirmed by the National Lottery headquarters that the prize of almost €97,000 won in Roscommon in March has been collected by the winner.

The winning ticket had been bought in McNeill’s shop on the 14th of March but some confusion arose as to whether the winner had come forward as yet.

The Lottery headquarters confirmed today that a player in Roscommon had bought the winning ticket, and had come forward to claim the prize before the Covid-19 travel restrictions came into place.

Liam McNeill says he’s delighted with the good fortune of one of his customers and happy that they’ve got their money.
