Roscommon Gardai appealing for witnesses to crash in Cloghan

Gardai in Roscommon are appealing for information on a crash in the south of the county this morning.

A silver Volkswagen and a blue Vauxhall collided in Cloghan, Four Roads at a quarter to six.

Gardai and emergency services attended the scene and an occupant of one of the cars was taken to hospital as a precaution.


Meanwhile, Gardai are appealing for motorists driving on the N60 between Roscommon and Castlerea to be aware of road works at Oran.

It follows a collision on Friday morning when two cars were approaching a stop-go system.

A man was taken to hospital for minor injuries.

Gardai are appealing to people who are approaching road works to heed signage, slow down and exercise caution, particularly in challenging road conditions.
