Retired Garda Sergeant John Hynes from Castlerea who was a close personal friend of Colm Horkan and his family has paid tribute today to the garda's work on the so-called "House of Horrors" case in Roscommon several years ago.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show this morning, the retired sergeant revealed that he and Garda Horkan, as well as a third female colleague, had worked very closely together on the hugely difficult and complex case for some time.
John Hynes said while he has been credited with the success of the case in bringing it before the courts, he wants the invaluable work of Colm Horkan in the case acknowledged as well.
