A Fianna Fáil European election candidate has taken down posters in Roscommon town.
Posters for Deputy Anne Rabbitte, who is standing in the Midlands/Northwest constituency, were erected in the town on Sunday.
Roscommon town is poster-free for the local and European elections: candidates are requested not to erect posters in the town environs.
After requests from the tidy towns and Fianna Fáil councillor Orla Leyden, Deputy Rabbitte’s team has taken hers down.
Cllr Kathleen Shanagher, the chairman of the tidy towns, says she has apologised for putting them up.
