The first in a series of Shannonside-based events organised by Coillte to discuss their forestry policy are taking place tonight.
The semi-state body are hosting a number of forest operational consultation meetings, including three in this region.
The meetings are described as an opportunity for “stakeholders to share their views and suggestions and also to receive information about Coillte’s policies and practices”.
Coillte representatives will be at the Abbey Hotel tonight in Roscommon between 6 and 7pm and in the Bush Hotel in Carrick-on-Shannon from 8-9pm.
An event will also take place in Longford on June 24th.
