People living between Ballymurray and Leacarrow in Roscommon are being urged to consider six new options for an upgrade for the N61.
On the advice of consultant engineers, Roughan & O’Donovan, the TII Roads Design Office, has broadened it’s study for the initial bypass of Ballymurray and Knockcroghery to include the wider St John’s area.
After initially outlining 18 possible routes, this has now been refined to six routes, which vary east and west of the existing rail line.
The public consultation takes place in the old school in Knockcroghery next Wednesday and Thursday between 1pm and 8pm.
Alan Mulryan is engineer with responsibility for the project, he outlines the direction of some of the routes.
