Planning permission is being sought for a substantial upgrade of Roscommon town.
It’ll include new traffic management plan and layout changes in Main Street and Market Square.
Two-way traffic would be allowed to the eastern side of Market Square and paved pedestrian spaces on the other sides of the Square.
The plans also include new parking arrangements, new coach-parking near St Ciarán’s Park and enhanced pedestrian areas.
Roscommon County Council is seeking part 8 planning permission for the public-realm enhancement project, which was allocated €780,000 last year.
